What sets Foresight Financial apart from other Advisers?

What is an Authorised Financial Adviser (AFA)?
Michael is an AFA. Only authorised financial advisers are able to provide personalised advice on all insurance and investment products. That's why before you seek advice, we strongly recommend you look for an Authorised Financial Adviser, like us.
Authorised financial advisers must maintain a minimum educational standard and have specific qualifications, so they can give advice on savings and investments. There is also a requirement for police checks on all Authorised Financial Advisers, so you can have confidence in the people you're dealing with.
Why should I use your services?
As Authorised Financial Advisers, we have three important roles:
- Helping you create a plan specific to your individual circumstances
- Keeping the plan current with your changing circumstances
- Taking the stress out of making a claim
Putting together insurance protection without the help of an adviser is a bit like cutting your own hair. You'll get a result, but it won’t be the best possible result. However, unlike cutting your own hair where you know straight away if it isn't right, you won’t know if you have a good insurance plan until you need to use it – and by then it will be too late.
Why talk to Foresight Financial and not my bank?
Our aim is to give you the very best tailored advice with a personal level of service. We won't simply sell you a product because we can, we look at all insurance and investment providers to help you find the best solutions to meet your needs.
Because we are a small family business, we are able to put our clients first. There are no out of town telephone numbers to call, no call centres in other countries, just good old fashioned service. Furthermore, our business is based on “face to face” contact so we are always happy to meet with you at a time and location which suits you.
Should I buy my insurance online?
We recommend that you don't buy insurance online. This is because with online insurance, you cannot be sure that the insurance package you're buying will cover all of your specific needs. What's worse is that you are unlikely to know exactly what it covers until you need to make a claim - and then it is often too late.
Remember, we offer free consultations and if you need insurance fast, we can often get cover in place very quickly.
How much will it cost to use your services?
Foresight Financial does not charge you for services provided as generally, we receive a commission from the insurance company we recommend to you. However, some people prefer us to work on a fee basis and we are happy to do so with any fee structure being agreed before any work takes place.
How can I stop my insurance premiums increasing as I get older?
In New Zealand, most life insurance policies are cancelled before they pay out due to the premiums becoming unaffordable. Many people take out life insurance when they are young and the premiums are cheap because the risk is very small.
One of the many things we can advise you on, is levelling your insurance premiums so that they will not increase as you get older - we can help save you thousands of dollars.
How long do we need our insurance cover for?
At Foresight Financial we have unique software that will show you what your premiums will look like in the future, including affordable premiums that are guaranteed not to increase with age. This could save you tens of thousands of dollars on your life insurance premiums!

Why should I review my cover?
